Why do I need a dental scale and polishing when I brush my teeth every day?

It doesn’t matter how many times you brush your teeth at home per day, the back teeth, the gap between the teeth and tooth surface below the gum line are very difficult areas to clean well by yourself. This allows plaque to gradually built up and developinto tartar (the cause of the gum disease). Prevention is always better than a cure; regular visits for a dental scale and polishing ensure the teeth are thoroughly cleaned and dental problems would be addressed on time.
